Cebu

The queen of the south, is the Philippines second most important city in terms of strategic and economic importance to the country, and likely it’s first in tourism. Cebu draws millions of visitors each year, and it’s easy to see the appeal.

With White sound beaches making up it’s shoreline, pristine clear waters surrounding it, and an amazing assortment of marine life that lives there. With Malapascua off its northen tip, Moalboal in the south western corner, and Lapu Lapu linking them together, travellers have an easy time getting around, and plenty for them to choose from.

Cebu gets its name from from the old Cebuano word sibu meaning trade, this is a shortened version of sinibuayng hingpit  or a place for trade. Originally named after the harbors of Sugbu, the old name for Cebu City.
